Talking about integrity

One of Leader’s priorities is to fully rely on standard  procedures keeping quality, reliability and as a consequence the complete integrity under control of a crucial part like a Spiral Wound Flange Gasket.

The Spiral Wound Gasket is considered to be one of the safest and most integite of its kind but still seen as a commodity. Nevertheless it is a complex product containing a configuration of  Windings, Fillers, Inner and Outer rings that are winded, welded and fitted together. One small mistake can already lead to catastrophic situations. This is how we keep control and you can sleep tight:

This is why Leader Gasket SR/SRI line of Spiral Wound Gasket is not just a Spiral Wound Gasket

Highly detailed manufacturing specification requirements are in place to insure standardization, performance, and quality of each spiral wound gasket.

High performance (low emissions) graphite filler is controlled with a detailed product specification and through the use of specialized TGA testing requirements for each lot of graphite material used. On-site inspections by qualified personnel in accordance to ASME B16.20 standards is performed and documented on every shipment prior to shipping from manufacturing locations to logistic or distribution hubs before leaving to distributors or end customers.

Leader Gasket in-house quick supply manufactured special gaskets are made to the same stringent specification requirements andcontrolled with individual job sheets for each order with documented in-process inspection and final inspection hold points.

Traceability achieved through detailed MTR (material traceability records) documentation for inner/outer rings, metal windings, and graphite filler.

All materials of construction are traceable for each gasket by use of a unique traceable number marked on the inner/outer guide rings along with the etching of the metal winding material.

Standard 304 & 316ss SR/SRI guide rings are painted on the face with the matching ASME color code (Green for 316 & Yellow for 304ss) for a quick visual reference when stocking.
